Rafael Diaz is an outstanding addition to the Reifkind & Thompson law firm.

Mr. Diaz brings youth and excitement with his real life and legal experiences, having joined the firm as an associate attorney immediately after having been sworn in by the Florida Bar as a licensed attorney in the State of Florida. Mr. Diaz earned his law degree from Florida State University Law School, where he held the esteemed honor of graduating cum laude. While attending law school, Mr. Diaz was employed as a legal intern with the Broward County and Leon County Public Defender’s offices, where he learned rules of evidence, court procedure, attended motion calendar arguing legal motions, took depositions and was lead trial attorney in several trials with the supervision of attorneys in the department. Having this experience gives Mr. Diaz an exceptional edge over most law school graduates, having in essence practiced law under the guidance and tutelage of the Florida State government. In addition, prior to entering law school, Mr. Diaz clerked with a personal injury firm in Plantation, Florida where he gained experience in personal injury law. Mr. Diaz earned his undergraduate degree in psychology from Florida State University in 2006.

Born in Bucaramanga, Colombia and raised in South Florida, Mr. Diaz is fully bilingual and therefore uniquely possesses the capability of assisting both Spanish and English speaking clients.

Coming from a Hispanic household, Mr. Diaz was raised with a strong sense of devotion and loyalty to family, friends, and colleagues, possessing a keen capacity to empathize with and to help others who are in need, especially after traumatic or tragic events.

Mr. Diaz’s diversity as a Hispanic American has given him the ability to connect with all of the rich cultures South and Central Florida has to offer. As an attorney with Reifkind & Thompson, Rafael Diaz will focus on representing the underdog, all clients who have been seriously injured at the hands of negligent persons, large corporations and insurance companies.
